Salamandastron lies empty, the great line of badger lords severed. Vermin hordes roam the land. Evil reigns supreme. Only Redwall still stands, a last bastion of light in the tide of darkness. But across the ocean far to the East a new threat arises. Far greater than any vermin horde. Hang-Wei a rat warlord, leads an armada of warships to conquer new lands for the empire. But can Redwall defeat this new threat or will the last safe haven fall and darkness reign supreme?…

Name: Bluestripe
Gender: Male

Weapons: Greatsword, ball and chain
Appearance: As is fitting for his namesake, Bluestripe is a creature with a very fierce appearance. He is most easily recognized by the blue stripe that runs down the middle of his face as opposed to the white stripe most badgers have after being branded with blue paint to signify his status as a slave while in captivity under Panthera Longclaws. Bluestripe is also quite large, even for a male badger. As a slave of Panthera Longclaws, he was given tattoos all over his body in addition to scars from numerous lashings and has only earned more scars with each passing battle. He wears a dark green tunic over a chain mail shirt. He also wears a wears a thick brown leather belt with a brass buckle and a leather strap that crosses his torso with the sheath for the greatsword attached to his back.
Background: Bluestripe was born in Mossflower Woods as the only offspring to Oakpaw and Renah. His father, Oakpaw, was the leader of a rebellion against Panthera Longclaws and his horde. One day, while out in the woods, Bluestripe and Renah were met by a patrol of vermin from Panthera's horde. A fight broke out and it resulted in the death of Renah and Bluestripe's capture. Bluestripe was taken to Panthera and made to be a slave for the wildcat. After seasons of service to Panthera, the Guosim helped him escape. He led an army against the wildcat and his allies. He eventually defeated and killed Panthera Longclaws in single combat. From there, he became a wanderer. However, some unknown force is calling him to Salamandastron.

Name: Malachi MacDougall

Weapons: Malachi carries a sling and stones and a well-balanced, razor-keen claymore with otter runes carved into both sides of the blade, running from hilt to tip flanking the blood channel that spell out: "justicia quod veneratio" on the right, on the left the runes read "tutor verum." He forged his blade himself in the fires of Salamandastron many seasons ago by the last badger lord to hold the title.

Appearance: Rather lean and rangy for an otter, Malachi has been known to joke in his Highland brogue, "Ah've got hare bluid en mah family." His eyes are a piercing steel gray and his fur a dark brown. He usually wears a tan tunic and a knee-length kilt in his clan's colors, red, green, navy blue and white; as well as rough leather armor and a claymore sheath thrust through a belt he wears from left shoulder to his right waist over his back.
He's also been known to occasionally wear a simple, strong cord around his neck with a tiny wooden figure of three carved otters on it, two big ones standing together holding a little one. .
Background: Malachi's a loyal, honest beast with a warm personality, he's extremely hard-working and outgoing. He can be reserved at time. Malachi was born to a pair of wandering rovers, Aengus and Moira MacDougall. In his own words: "Ah kenned war at a young age, mah Da fell under the blades of seascum when ah was boot a wee bairn." The pair was attacked by searats, Aengus giving his life so Moira could escape with Malachi. Moira managed to get her infant son to Redwall despite two arrows in her back, slip the pendant she was wearing around his neck and hand him into safe paws before she died. He was raised as an Abbeybeast from that point on.

Background: haicho is a commander in the empires armada he is Han weis second in command and is ruthless. He personally has seen 4 of the empires invasions be successful. He is a veteran of combat. Both at see and in the water

Weapons: a yumi (two meter high bow) and yatzuzu (cylindrical quiver) packed with bamboo shafts.
Appearance: Mayumi has dark black fur, forest-green eyes and a tall build. She wears a black kimono with the kanji for shadow on it in dark grey across her back
Along with her weapons, she carries a tsurumaki (a flat yo-yo-shaped carrier made of woven bamboo that holds spare bowstrings), and wears a soft yotsugake (four fingered version of the yugake, the right-handed archer's glove) on her right paw.
Mayumi's a Kyudojin, a practitioner of kyudo, the martial art of archery.
Background: Her family name, Shizuka, means quiet. Her given name, Mayumi, "true bow". (Mayumi Shizuka)

Appearance: Mycroft had chestnut brown feathers, and pale grayish clay-blue feathers that grow in patches on his head and back, he can be a bit snobby at times, but often makes up for it in speed and intelligence
Background: Mycroft was born into a family of kestrels, who were cousins of the famed ancient Maceldowney Clan of kestrels in the Northern Mountain of Kuldemyrne, which lies west of Mt. Icetor, during the time when the Long Patrol had settled down near these Mountains in the Northern Regions. He was named Mycroft asfter a wounded hare captain told him that his father had that name, so his family honored him by naming their son that. After growing up, he ventured south to Mossflower, where he joined a travelling band of freedom fighters known as the Sons of Brock, based inside Brockhall, and it consists of the squirrel Einzel, the hedgehog twins Knutt and Earl, the Tawny Owl Avia, the mouse Edgar, the mole trackers Ash, Elm, Sassafrass, and Aspen, and the blue jay Nack, who was a former thief.

Appearance: tall and lean he wears an over shirt with his kilt wrapped around his chest as well as his waist, wears a red bonnet with a feather in it, he has light brown fur and a long bushy tail.
Background: born in the highlands strider was trained from birth to be a warrior. But in a vermin raid his clan was all slain but him. He traveled down to moss flower and joined a resistance group. Fighting against the hordes of vermin. But when salamandastron fell he and the remaining freedom fighters took refuge in Redwall abbey and he is now one of there most skilled warriors.

Apppearance: Dane has golden-brown fur with black, sinewy paws. He is very rough-and-tumble, so sometimes he looks shaggy
Background: Dane is from the Land of Ice and Snow, but came south trading timber from the legendary Blackpine trees that grow there He is currently trying to unblock the River Moss from a band of vermin who have held it up.

Appearance: A fairly average looking wildcat he wears a tunic and cloak over his brown fur. A sword belt secures his tunic. His fur is a light brown with black stripes running through it.
Background: A one time vermin slaver that did quite well for himself selling slaves to corsair ships he was fell victim of mutiny and barely escaped with his life. Since then he has been wandering Mossflower looking for the opportunity to take over a group of vermin. He hasn't been very successful and what few creatures he managed to get to follow him deserted in days.

Appearance: Navine is a troubled, tough looking light grey rat with prominent arm muscles and a long tail. He has a scar on his arm where his fur doesn't grow, and wears a thick hide tunic of hides from various animals.
Background: Navine's parents abandoned him in the soon to be Empire, leaving him to survive as a petty thief and a homeless rat for many years, until he took up sword dueling competitions across various island, and was eventually recruited to the navy. Navine has long served the military under Hang-Wei's control, and is an admiral under the Empire's 4th Fleet. He is highly skilled in sword dueling, and in naval and military strategy.
